General Election Tuesday August 3rd.
Fire Station 22
A long awaited construction of the South City fire station located at Hydraulic and Denker. The energy efficient 10,400 foot structure will improve the city's fire response time, by bringing a balance to the workload of other stations in the area. This will result in improved districtwide fire, medical and rescue service.
Street Beautification
Addition of street lights and landscaping to medians along south Broadway. This increased the lighting levels creating safer roadways along south Broadway.
Drainage Improvements
Improved drainage and flood control along the Gypsum & Dry Creeks in South Wichita.
Parks
Development of three parks totalling over 300 acres. New park equipment and upgrades provide greater safety for children.
47th St. & I-135 Interchange
Recontructing the 47th St. & I-135 Interchange to accomodate increased traffic and new development in South Wichita. Click below to learn about the planned new shopping center coming to this area called SouthFork.
